Chesson Lodge is an historic homestead located in the heart of Uki (pronounced yook-eye) at the base of Wollumbin/Mt Warning in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Ideally situated in the main street between two cafes and across the road from the Post Office, General Store, Town Hall, Fair Trade Store and numerous other unique retail shops. Uki is also home to the fabulous Mt Warning Hotel and award winning Uki Pies.
The historic village is a thriving arts community and home to the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market ( 3rd Sunday of every month) and Uki Produce Market, every Saturday morning in the Town Hall
4 kms down the road is the turnoff to the World Heritage Mt Warning National Park, incorporating lands of traditional significance to the local Bundjalung people. The park is administered by the NSW Parks and Wildlife Service and is part of the Scenic Rim Important Bird Area due to it's importance in the conservation of several species of threatened birds.
This turn off will also lead you to Mavis’s Kitchen Restaurant. Specialising in locally sourced, organically grown produce, it is a dining imperative whilst in the area.
A further 11 kms will see you in the beautiful Art Deco town of Murwillumbah with its vibrant cafes and restaurants. It is home to the exceptional Tweed Regional Art Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre, along with a good array of specialty retail and antique shops.
Chesson Lodge is luxurious accessible and inclusive accommodation
